Sharing the story of my son’s life is what keeps Shaquan’s legacy alive. Nothing can ever fill the gap that has been left behind by the loss of my beautiful boy.  The Shaquan Sammy-Plummer Foundation works to educate young people about the seriousness of knife crime and the consequences of negative group associations.   I am sharing with you a short segment of yesterday’s event, sharing all six talks after the final event.

COLI use these events to learn about the challenges parents who lost their sons face from the services that should have supported them.  What came out from last night’s talk, was how poorly all these parents were treated by the police, CPS, coroners court, and in one instance, the Old Bailey.  COLI, working with the IOSCC and other partners, will be looking deeper into the many concerns raised and forming a strategic plan to address them.
